Fitzsimons renamed the Fitzsimons Life Science District
The development of Fitzsimons is not new news to the commercial broker community. However, the development launched its new name at the recent BIO convention in Boston two weeks ago. Fitzsimons Life Science District is the new name, and refers to the entire 578-acre $4.3 billion development of the former site of the Fitzsimons Army Base, which currently encompasses the Anschutz Medical Campus, the new Childrens’ Hospital and Research Center, the site of the future Veterans Administration Hospital, and the 170-acre Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons (north of Montview).

In addition to the new District name, a new website was also launched in mid-May, including information for site selectors, commercial brokers and a broad level base of details about the District in one place, as well as specific information about future available space. The New Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons
Last September, a new partnership was formed between the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority and Forest City Science + Technology Group to develop a 170-acre parcel north of Montview Boulevard. The site of the new Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons offers development opportunities for companies and firms focusing on the science and technology sectors. The Park breaks ground this fall on a new 40,000 square-foot building, with turnkey space available in mid to late 2008 for move-in.
