Leading the way for kids.
The Children's Hospital treats more kids than any hospital in the seven-state-region. And it treats them well. For more than ten years, The Children's Hospital has been named in the top ten pediatric hospitals in the country by the
US News & World Report "America's Best Hospitals." And its new home at Fitzsimons allows it to continue to provide the very best care, as well as education and research toward the single goal of improving kids' health.
The Children Hospital’s Pediatric Clinical Translational Research Center is one of only eight centers in the country that work exclusively in pediatric research. The physician-scientists at Children’s have pioneered seminal research in the treatment of pediatric liver disease, infectious disease and vaccines, pediatric and adolescent HIV/AIDS, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, pediatric cardiology and neonatology.
The Pediatric Clinical Translational Research Center provides resources, training and infrastructure to conduct exceptional patient-oriented clinical research not only on behalf of The Children’s Hospital but also within the communities of the Anschutz Medical Campus resident centers and institutes, Denver Health Medical Center, and the University of Colorado Hospital. The Research Center currently has nearly 160 scientific studies underway, involving over 150 principal investigators and co-investigators. The research spans everything from small pilot studies to larger randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled investigations to very large multi-center national trials.
